Birmingham Sound Matter concert

Wednesday 8th July at Ikon eastside
183 Fazeley Street, Digbeth, Birmingham

The result of a period of workshops and composition, the concert features new compositions (created from field recordings of sound sources located within the Birmingham area) by international sound artist Francisco Lopez (Madrid) and composers / sound artists Nicholas Bullen, Helena Gough, Bobby Bird, Mark Harris, Martin Clarke, Annie Mahtani, and Cormac Faulkner.

***The performance will take place on a quadraphonic sound system.
Seats are strictly limited: please book as soon as possible to avoid disappointment.

Lisa Meyer and Jenny Moore (aka Capsule) are giving a talk 18:30 till 19:30 at Ikon, Birmingham 24/06/09. Places are free but should be reserved by calling Ikon.
"A number of well-known individuals undertake a series of talks inspired by Desert Island Discs. Asked to select their eight favourite works of art, speakers will reveal their personal inspirations, illustrated by a slide show."

LINE STEPPERS EXHIBITION








Footage of prep for the Line Steppers group exhibition at the end of May.
The warehouse space is huge and open, it was a good collection of art, a warm sunny evening, and free beer is always welcomed.
Why aren't there group exhibitions around Digbeth more often?
